DISTRIBUTION OF HOUSE SITES TO HOMESTEADLESS FAMILIES UNDER 

PROJECT VASUNDHARA 

The management of land and its distribution to the needy persons is one of the foremost responsibilities of Revenue Department. As per Revenue Department letter No. 55226 dt. 24.9.1970 government-land up to the extent of and decimals / cents is being provided free of premium to each homesteadless family for house site purpose. The enumeration of homesteadless and landless families has been made by all concerned Tehsildars during the year 2006-07. According to the enumeration there are as many as 11835 homesteadless families found in the district. As per the survey an extent of Ac.1216.27 of land are available in the district for distribution among the homesteadless families.

DISTRIBUTION OF GOVERNMENT-WASTE LAND TO LANDLESS FAMILIES FOR AGRICULTURE PURPOSE

With a view to improving the economy of the weaker sections of the society and to boast agricultural production, Govt. land up to one standard acre is being allotted free of salami to landless persons since 1974-75.

As per enumeration report and survey made there are 11835 landless families in the district .During the year 2005-06. 1515 landless families are to be provided with Government waste land as per the target fixed by Government. The District Collectors have been instructed to achieve the target month-wise so as to achieve the target fixed for the year.
