1. Janani Surakshya Yojana

 

            The Janani Surakshya Yojana is being implemented in all block PHC/ CHC/ PPCs and DHH Level. As per the Govt. guidelines, the ASHAs, PRI members. AWWs and Health functionaries & providers are actively involved for the successful implementation of the scheme.JSY new cards have been printed & distributed to the concerned blocks maintaining appropriate serial no.Separate A/cs for JSY have been opened under RKS to facilitate cheque payment system for the beneficiaries

ASHA Training Status

 

  1. BTT of ASHA training. -  The BTT programme has already been completed.
  2. ASHA Induction training at block level to ASHAs : 373 nos of ASHA have already been trained at block level .
  3. ASHAs’ hand-holding training programme already completed in all 8 blocks.
  4. ASHA induction training (2nd Phase) already started.
Untied Fund at Sub-Centre

            The detailed information regarding opening of Joint Bank Account has already been received from the PHC / CHCs. How ever the fund has already been placed with the concerned HW(F)s through Medical Officer I/cs. All 178 bank accounts of 178 sub-centers have already been opened.

One draft guideline has been supplied by Govt. of Orissa & district health administration for rational expenditure of Untied Fund.

 

Selection and Engagement of various positions under NRHM.

 

          Selection for the post of BPO/ AYUSH Doctors / I.C.A. / Staff Nurse / Adl. ANM / L.T. have been completed through proper procedure with the active involvement of selection committee members..

 

Rogi Kalyan Samiti

 

            All 9 Rogi Kalyan Samities have been registered i.e. 1 at DHH and 8 at blocks. Bank Accounts of all RKS have been opened.  Expenditure of RKS have been banned till the training of the concerned stakeholders/ office bearers which was organized on 13/07/2007.   Funds has been received and disbursed.

            Applications for registration of 9 Rogi Kalyan Samiti for PHC(N) have been submitted to the Addl. District Magistrate, Jagatsinghpur. Early result is awaited for the same.

            Grant of Rs. 1.4 Crores received for up gradation of 07 nos of PHC/ CHC/ UGPHCs to Indian Public Health Standard had been refunded as per Letter No. -  OSH  & FWS (30), dtd. 02/02/2007

 

Immunization

 

            Immunization includes Routine Immunization to the children below 1 year age and T.T. to pregnant mothers. It is being implemented in 178 nos Sub-Centres under 8 blocks and 2 PPCs in every Wednesday. The Programme is carried out for vaccinating against 6 killer diseases like Diphtheria, Polio, Titanus, B.C.G., Measles and whooping Cough.

Catch-up Round Immunization

         It has been launched during November, 2005 to cover all the left out cases in the age group of 0-5 years to Immunize against 6 (SIX) preventable diseases

Special Immunization

 

            It has been launched in this district during February 05 except on Wednesdays (Normal Immunization day) in all the blocks purely in outreach and hard to reach pockets to cover underserved infants. By adopting this method the fully immunization status of our district during 05-06 has gone up more than 90% which is much above the state average. 

 

I.P.P.I

         I.P.P.I. started in the state during the year 1995 to eliminate the Polio virus from the country. As the children under 0 to 5 years are vulnerable group to the diseases. They are vaccinated against the Oral Polio Vaccine. To chalk out the programme through out the district the funds ahs been received and utilized for the success of the programme.

P.N.D.T. Act 1994

 

            P.N.D.T Act, 1994 has been enforced to prevent diagnosis of Sex through Ultrasonography. Public awareness has been done through workshops, message to daily newspapers and contingency expenditure on advisory committee meeting has been done.

 

Sterilization Operation

            It is a permanent method to accept Family Welfare service, Annual target has been assigned to the 8 no.s blocks and 2 PPCs to meet such targets, Loss of wages, funds has been received and expenditure has been incurred accordingly .

IMR Mission

            The aim and objectives of the mission is to reduce Infant and Maternal Mortality Rate in India. Funds has been received for referral cost of transportation charges to ensure institutional deliveries and expenditure has been incurred accordingly

Hatchery

 

There are 9 no. of hatcheries in the district (1 at DHH & 1 each at PHC/CHC head quarter) for rearing of the Gambusia fish. These fishes when released to the stagnate water, they eat the larva of mosquitoes, which reduces the mosquito’s density. We have identified 352 breeding sites.

AIDS Control Programme

 

 

STD clinic is functioning at District Headquarter Hospital, Jagatsinghpur. VCCTC (Voluntary Confidential Counseling & Testing Centre) & PPTCT (Prevention of Parent to Child Transmission) are opening in the district at DHH, Jagatsinghpur & B. M. Hosp., Paradeep. Sentinel Surveillance was conducted during 2005 & 400 blood samples were collected from antenatal cases and sent to SCBMCH, Cuttack. The figures cover 100 % achievement.

 

            World Aids Day is being observed regularly in the district on 1st December. Last year it was observed by arranging student rally, press media meeting, debate competition in different schools & a meeting was held at DHH, Jagatsinghpur involving the NGOs, SHG, PRI Members & Govt. Officials to create awareness amongst the people on HIV/AIDs. For target intervention programme on HIV/AIDs started in the district through NGOs.

 

                        At present target intervention  programme on HIV/ Aids is being conducted in the district for the Awareness of the public.

REVISED NATIONAL TUBERCULOSIS CONTROL PROGRAMME,

 

Ø                  Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme was launched in the district on 27th Nov’ 2003.

Ø                  Chief District Medical Officer is the overall authority of the programme.

To maintain the sustainability of Elimination of Leprosy from the district, the routine activities such as case holdings counseling including POD & IEC activities and DPMR (Disability Prevention Management Rehabitation) will be regularly conducted by the General Health Care staff involving AWW, VHG, School teachers / volunteers / PRI members MSS & NGOs to detect hidden cases of the district & brought them under treatment & regular monitoring & supervision to bring down the P.R. further more towards eradication.
